How HVAC Improved My Life

Welcome to my blog. My name is Vernon and this is my HVAC blog. Because I live in England, I never used to think about air conditioning. I mean, who would need air con in such a cold and wet place. However, because I suffer from hayfever, my brother suggested that I installed HVAC. I took his advice and I was really impressed. I could keep the air fresh in my home without needing to open the window and the filter on the air con helped to stop dust particles from getting in my face. I decided to start this blog to encourage others to invest in HVAC.

3 Benefits of Using Reconditioned Boiler Parts

by Kristen Mccoy

If you need new parts to repair your boiler, then you may be worried about repair costs. Some parts can be expensive, and you also have to factor in labour costs.

As an alternative, you may be able to source reconditioned parts from a place like pcbs4u. What are the benefits of taking this route?

1. The Parts Have Been Checked and Tested

Reconditioned boiler parts are generally second-hand parts. Most will have been used in working boilers in the past. However, don't let this put you off.

Companies that recondition parts take old boilers and remove anything that is salvageable or suitable for reconditioning. They cherry-pick boiler parts to find the ones that are in the best condition. They then run each part through a series of repairs, checks, and tests, depending on the original condition of the part.

At the end of this process, a part will be fit for purpose. You'll often also get a warranty with the part which gives you additional peace of mind.

2. Better Options For Obsolete Parts

Sometimes, it's hard to find new parts for old boilers. If your model is no longer produced by its manufacturer, then there may come a time when new parts run out.

If the boiler isn't made any longer, then its parts may go out of production too. In some cases, you may be able to use a part from a different boiler model or manufacturer but there is no guarantee you'll find a suitable alternative.

In this case, you may find that a reconditioned part is your best option. This gives you an original part that is designed to work in your boiler when new parts are no longer available.

3. Potential Cost Savings

If you can't get a new part to get an old boiler working again, then you may have to bite the bullet and buy a completely new boiler. This cost will be a lot higher than the amount you'd pay for a parts-and-labour repair.

If this isn't a problem, you could still save money by using a reconditioned part. These parts typically cost less because they have been used before.

If you do opt for reconditioned parts, it's important to make sure that you buy the parts from a reputable source with a strong track record of effective refurbishment. If you aren't sure where to start looking, talk to your HVAC contractor. They may be able to source parts for you or point you in the right direction.
